I am starting to
exercise and I don't get home from work until 5p.m. Then I have to make dinner
for the family so when is the best time for me to exercise..before dinner or
after?
During the summer when it is nice long days, i'd say after, approximently 7 or 8
so you can digest your meal, for myself i generally go before dinner, however
sometimes i'm so hungry and don't get the best workout in, so i try to eat a
banana or an apple if i'm in that situation before my workout (something light
otherwise you won't feel so well)
hey, are you exercising to try and lose weight, like a diet, or just because you
want to get fit? well my advice would be to exercise before dinner. If you
exercise before dinner then your metabolism will rise and burn off the food
quicker than it would otherwise. Also, when you exercise, your body changes out
of a "fat storage mode," and therefore the sugars and fats you consume will not
be absorbed into your bloodstream as easily. Exercising up to 12 hours before a
meal is the best way to stay in shape. This is why so many people exercise in
the mornings, so that their daily food consumption won't affect their body shape
as easily. And if your not wanting to lose weight, i would still recommend
eating before dinner, because after dinner you will be full and probably not in
the mood to exercise. Therefore, you will probably find yourself skipping your
exercise regime frequently. Good luck! By the way, this is a researched answer,
I just didn't list the sources because for some reason firefox isn't displaying
the URL's. But google it and you'll see for yourself. Other weight loss tips
include:
Eat vinegar before food.
Lowest carbohydrates is good.
Caffeine isn’t good before meals, but however, it is good away from meals.
Fruit and eggs are good.
Chromium Picolinate is good. 400mg.
Exercise is best done 12 hours before food.
Phaseolus Vulgaris is good. 1500mg.
Natural, unartificial foods are good.
Metamucil / laxatives is good for lessening fat storage.
Hope i helped :-)
after that way you can burn off the excess calories

What are some easy ways to pull your teeth?
without it hurting that bad it has a cap on it
gently wiggle it with your tounge and give it time so its very loose and put
very light pressure on it eventually it will pop off really quickly and its
painless its just happened to me like 15 minutes ago. trust me it wont hurt.
Generally speaking, people should not be worried about pulling their own teeth.
This should be left to dental professionals. You could break it off, leaving the
root behind, you could also damage the bone. But the bigger question is what on
earth happened to you that you would NEED to pull your own tooth? My guess is
that if it is in that bad of shape you probably have others that are not doing
well either, and they just haven't started to hurt yet. Know one thing for sure,
dental problems do not go away on their own. And, once a tooth is gone it is
gone forever (well permanent teeth anyway) I'm imagining this is a permanent
tooth because of the "cap".
Please go and see a dentist. Ask friends for referrals. Try and stay away from
the clinic situation.
You probably have an infection as well and could use some antibiotics. good luck
tie a string to the tooth, tie the other end to a door handle, stand a bit away
from the door so the string is just a bit slack,
then slam that door
you wont feel a thing (whiskey helps)
i do it verry slowly. i play with it alot during the day until it gets so loose
it just falls out. or you can do it quick, like a band aid. just pull er out!
haha

No shower flip flops?
I came back to my dorm for one night for one last final, but I forgot to bring back some flip flops. Do you think it will be okay to shower without flip flops just once?
use a towel.. if you don't have an extra towel use a dirty shirt
Is it a community bathroom, or do you have a suite? I had a suite where I shared a bathroom with 3 other girls and I was alright a few times without flip flops. If it's a community bathroom, I'd probably go buy some cheap ones (you can get them for a buck or two at Walmart).
I would wash your feet as well as possible and then let them thoroughly dry before putting on your socks and shoes. This way, you can avoid a fungal infection.
yes
its cool..

Question about sex?
What do you do during
sex? I know a little about it but not much .
The fact that you are asking shows that you may not be fully ready yet. If you
are young, very young, then think before doing anything. If you are ready, your
main concern is safety. If you are comfortable with your partner, then you will
learn as you go along. You might want to be more specific with this question
because every experience is different. Good luck to you!
Talk about it with your partner-to-be well before hand and know that you are
both sure. If there are any doubts, stop here, abstinence in a relationship is
normal and "OK".
Go over your birth control needs and options and make sure that you have waited
long enough for the choice you make to be effective. Consider talking with a
friend or family member about their experiences.
Use a condom no matter what other birth control arrangements have been made and
regardless of what your partner-to-be tells you about his/her sexual history.
Do not be drunk, on drugs or otherwise unable to make an informed decisison, and
make sure that your partner-to-be is in a decision making state.Make sure that
you care about your partner-to-be and that you are not "doing it" for reasons
other than what YOU feel. Looking cool, fitting in or just wanting to lose your
virginity are not good reasons to have sex.
Go somewhere comfortable, quiet, private and (preferably) nice. Choose a place
where you are unlikely to be interrupted.
Don't think too much about how nervous you are, relax and take a deep breath.
This should be something you WANT to do.
Spend a long time kissing and caressing your partner. This is called "foreplay"
and the more there is of it, the better.
Talk to your partner, say kind, gentle and loving things. First say with words
what you are about to express with your body.
As you get into it never stop listening to what your partner says and remember
he/she has a right to stop no matter how far things have gone.
Slowly undress each other paying close attention to your partner's body language
- are things moving too fast, or do they seem on target? If you sense any
hesitation at this point you should slow down or stop.
As you kiss and start to relax listen to what your mind tells you to do, follow
your instincts and your partners cues.
Enjoy what you are doing, take time to get to know your partner's body and let
them get to know yours. You never get another first time or another first time
together.
Before moving on to intercourse (penetration) make sure that you both still want
to "go all the way", it is hard to turn back and can't be undone. Sex is not a
test of love, it is a way of expressing it.
Follow your instincts and listen to your heart. By the time you are physically
ready for intercourse you should be relaxed and comfortable enough to let nature
take it's course.
#1 rule - dont watch porn to learn about it...porn is an advanced thing that
teaches you the wrong things about sex...it says that u meat some1 and all of a
sudden they go at it
sex is 2 people showing there love and if you truly want to learn about it,
experience it with your partner and you will see
You should consult with your Mom about sex, you know the talk about the bird's
and the bee's. Your Mom will hopefully tell you to wait until you're married and
you should listen to her because your Mother is very wise.
i dont think about anything but whats going on in that moment. its almost like
an out of body experience...at least with my boyfriend :) its just me and him
and the thought of pleasuring eachother. now im all hot and bothered
It is when a guy sticks his penis into a girls vagina. It is the process in
which a baby is made if you dont use a condom. In can also conclude in various
STI's or STD's
You think to yourself "damn this itches...i hope she doesn't notice"
then afterwords you go to the doctor an get antibiotics an hope it doesnt burn
that bad for the next 2 weeks.
a guys penis goes in a womans hole and they go back and forth, its a good
feeling, maybe one day you'll experience it,
lick there earlobes
and sing old madonna songs
that usually does the trick
If you have to ask this question, you know nothing about sex.
I concentrate on pleasing my partner. I know I will enjoy the results.
i usually juggle while reading the newspaper

What is a normal waist line for a 13 year old boy?
What is a normal waistline for a 13 year old boy, i am short (4,7
feet)
I don't know if there is a 'normal', the guys at my school (12-15) are all over
the place size-wise. Being in shape is better than focusing on weight or size.
my waist line is visible which sucks and im 13, probably you shouldn't see
it

Can internal bleeding heal itself?
My
friend and I were wrestling a last week end, just messing around, nothing to
rough. Then out of no where he grabs my shoulders and knees me in the solerplex
as hard as he god given could. I went down to my knees and couldn’t breathe for
a good 30 seconds before I could even start taking little gasps off air… The
next day, I was watching a show about fighting styles, and one part showed and
explaining how a hard knee to the solerplex can cause collapsed lunges, organ
tares, and even mild to massive internal bleeding. I didn’t feel any pain in the
area after words, nor did the skin look any different, and being that I don’t
have medical insurance, I can not see a doctor to determine if I do have
internal bleeding or any other injures; we simply don’t have the money. I just
want to know if I have a reason to be worrying like I am or not.
~Ooh, don’t worry I got him back this past weekend… =P
Since this happened last weekend, and you have absolutely no symptoms of
collapsed lungs, torn organs, or internal bleeding, you have no reason to be
worrying. If you had any of those things, you would know by now and you would be
in a hospital.
You're fine. If you had a collapsed lung, you would be fighting for air, your
chest would be making sucking noises, and you'd probably turn blue.
Internal bleeding usually causes low blood pressure, so you'd feel faint
dizzy.

I have my period and??
I decided to go
running. I have never done this during my period because I am tired and
nauseaus, but I figured I would try it. I ran one mile and then came back and I
almost fainted when I got through the door. I am always tired during my period
and nauseous and sometimes dizzy. I drank a lot of water before going and after,
but still I thought excersising was suppose to help you during your period. It
didn't make me feel any better. Is this normal?
It is wise to take it easy on days 1 and 2, or whatever your heaviest day(s)
are. This doesn't mean don't exercise, but just don't do the all-out, beat
yourself to death thing that you might otherwise do, unless you are an athlete
and used to it.
If I were a runner, I might choose to go for a brisk walk instead. Yoga is good,
but avoid the inverted asanas.
It is normal to be tired during your period and to be nauseous before your
period comes but if your nauseous during your period you need to see a doctor.
Also if you have a heavy period that could be causing your fatigue you might
have anemia because of the heavy flow. Exercising before your period helps to
reduce cramps that you might get during your period but it won't help with the
nausea and the fact that you're tired. I suggest that you see a doctor.
Have you ever been tested for anemia? You sound like you have low blood iron
right now and that would make you feel crummy during activities and your cycle.
I am anemic and love to run but I cannot when I am menstruating. I would rather
do something better for my body and energy during this time like yoga. It will
invigorate you and is much better for your stomach area.
Some suggestions for you: talk to your doctor about a CBC blood test, keep
hydrating yourself, and run on off days of your cycle, yoga during the cycle. Oh
yeah, nourish your body with a balanced diet.
Good luck to you!
Sound like you're low on iron. Do you take an iron supplement during your
period? That helps a lot of women replace the iron they lose at that time. As
always, talk to your GYN about this, there's a lot they can do to relieve your
menopausal symptoms.
it happens to me too

Im 14% bodyfat and i weigh 170 pounds..does this mean my fat weighs 23.8 pounds?
the way i figure it out is 0.14 x 170 =
23.8 is this the right way to find out how much your fat weighs?..or is there
more factors
also (if my method is corect) if i were to loose 16.6 pounds id be 6% bodyfat?
23.8 lbs of fat is correct.
http://exrx.net/Calculators/WeightBodyCo...
getting down to single digit body fat for the first time is very, very hard for
most. the lower the body fat percentage the harder it is to lose fat. the amount
of body fat that we all have is regulated by a hormone called leptin found in
fat cells. it tells the body how much fat it has.
Yes, your calcualtion are correct. The way you have used the formulas to
calculate the weight of your overall fat works out, and I suppose if you lost
about 17 pounds you would lose 6% of body fat. However, if you are planning on
losing weight, than you shouldn't really think about losing weight that way. You
ned to know your weight goal, and go for that, instead of focusing on your BMI
and overall fat. However, if you are planning on getting healthier, than that is
probably the best way to lose the weight.
If you have 14 percent body fat and you weigh 170 pounds, that does mean your
fat weighs 23.8 pounds.
The actual equation for calculating percent body fat is:
% body fat = 100 - (100 * lean body weight)/total weight
However, I don't thing you could calculate this correctly with the only
information being a loss of 16.6 pounds accuratlely, unless you are assuming
that those 16.6 pounds of lost pounds are purely lost body fat (and nothing else
like water weight and so forth). However, if we were assuming this, then:
% body fat = 100 - (100 * [(170-23.8) - 16.6])/(170 - 16.6)
I subtracted 170 and 23.8 to get the initial lean body weight, and subtracted
16.6 to it to get the new lean body weight.
I subtracted 170 and 16.6 to get the overall new body weight
% body fat = 4.802
Your method is correct. It's just that simple calculation. The rest of your
weight is muscle, organs, bone, water, etc. 14% body fat is great! at 6% body
fat and losing 16.6 pounds you'd be only 153.4 pounds and have only 9.2 pounds
of fat.
As a guy, 6% body fat is totally doable and healthy. Women need more body fat to
stay healthy or else all sorts of health problems occur.
Yes you have 23.8lb of fat and 146.2lb of lean mass.
However the only way you would have 6% body fat by losing 16.6lb is if you
maintained all of your lean mass which is highly unlikey. When you lose weight
you also lose water and some muscle, even if you do intense training and eat a
high protein diet it is not totally avoidable unfortunately.
Yes, that would be how much fat (in pounds) you have on your body right now.
And if you were to lose only fat and no muscle, then you would take your new
amount of fat in proportion to your new weight and that would be your new body
fat % (6%).
I think that first part is right, about how much your fat weighs, however by
losing 16.6 pounds you don't automatically drop to 6% body fat...you lose more
than JUST fat when you lose weight, so you'd have to take your body fat
measurement again then.
100% = 170 pounds
1% = 1,7 pounds
14% = 23,8 pounds
Sounds reasonable to me.
Your second question:
1% = 1,7 pounds
16,6 / 1,7 = 9,7%bodyfat loss
14 - 9,7 = 4,3% bodyfat.
Your body fat does way 23.8 pounds, but if you did lose 16.6 lbs, it wouldn't be
all body fat. It could be waterweight and stuff.
sounds right to me
idk do u think ur fat

high protein diet it is not totally avoidable unfortunately.
Are there any side effects to a rhinoplasty?
You shouldnt have any after effects except for the bruising. You'll
probably have black eyes for a few weeks and some swelling but after it has all
disappeared there shouldnt be any other side effects at all.
swelling,bruising.....but after a couple of months it'll probably go away or it
just might not look the way you wanted it to look.
your nose could look ridiculous?

You usually ovulate 10 to 14 days prior to your period. However that is not
always the case. If you want to know for sure by ovulation

Really Really Bad Cramps?
im in alot of
pain,
im on to day 3 of my period
i have never had cramps like this before there really painful,
ive tried having a hot bath that helped but once i got out
it started again, any ideas what i can do or eat?
Well if you don't want med's then...
1: After you get out of the bath, put a nice robe on.
2: Make your favorite tea.
3: Make a good snack.
4: Get in/ on your bed/couch and put a heating pad on.
5: Watch something good and relax. Don't think about it, it's almost over.
If you want med's then find something good and take it regularly.
well before you have your period make sure you don't eat alot of salty foods
to help now make sure you keep your back warm (heating pad, sweat shirt,
blanket) and i would suggest sitting cross-legged and slightly leaning over your
legs to arch your back
A heat pad might feel good. Also, some hot tea would be relaxing. Try to lay
down and lounge. You could also take pain killers. Bottom line is just relax;
put on a nice robe, make some tea, and watch a nice movie.
Oh man, I feel you on this one!
My cramps get REALLY bad!
I take either some Midol or Motrin.
Put a heating pad.
And drink some tea. Drinking hot things is good for menstrual cramps.
just try to take it easy and relax.
Heat pads work really good or there are over the counter medications available
for menstrual cramps. Milk works really good for my cramps!
if you never had pain before go to doctor and get a check up
but i usually take four ibuprofen each 200ml
and helps me alot
Bananas help! and so does pickle juice. dont laugh im serious this is what i do
to get rid of mine i hope it helped :]

How much weight could I lose?
I would be
going on a raw-food diet, only eating raw fruits, veggies, and nuts. I would
also be drinking 8 glasses of water a day. I would exercise by running for 7
minutes and walking for 14, walking 2.5 miles, riding a recumbent bike for 1
hour, doing 500 crunches, and doing various weight exercises. How much would I
lose in one week? one month? two months? Thanks.
it depends how you do the workouts because if you are eating at the same time
then all your doing is wasting your time and once i trid that for 1 week and my
boddy was hurting so badly that it hured to lift a finger! and crunches yes you
loose weight there but then at the same time you built up your musels!
Why are you only running for 7 minutes? Cut out the walking and add time to the
running. Are you doing this every day? You need to provide more specifics about
your age and weight for us to tell you how much weight you can lose.
500 crunches will bulk up your stomach muscle and puff out, yikes
um maybe longer walk/jog....
from experience the only thing that biking does for me is bulk up my thighs,
giving me the professional biking look

What will cause a woman's cycle to start to change all of a sudden?
I'm in my early 30's, and always was regular, every 28 days. as of late, I'm starting at every 21 days. I hate that. I get irritable and get cramps more often now instead of every four weeks, I get it every three. I'm also starting to get real severe headaches when I start, which I never had before. (been taking migraine medicine on and off for it)
I'm not exercising a lot, but I am a little stressed, but then again, I have always been under a lot of stress my whole adult life, so that's not changed.
Could it be peri-menopause? My grandma was in her late 30's when she started going through menopause. My mom was in her 40's. maybe I'm too young to be hitting that?
I already have two children, and do not want to have anymore.
it could be. i've had migraines with pms for years, and now that i'm 52 and am in that peri menopause thing i'm still having migraines, along with severe hot flashes and mood swings along with an occasional period whenever they want to show up. it sucks big time. this week end i've had such a bad migraine i thought i was going to have to go to the hospital but i stuck it out and today it's better but not gone. anyway, you aren't too young to be going through peri menopause, i've heard of it happening to women your age. our bodies just change as time goes on, and the different stages can last for years. i'm not about to take hormones though so i'm just goin' with the flow, no pun intended......
Lots of things can change the regular cycle of periods. It is not un normal and happens to most people. The most commen cause is stress but a number of other things can cause it such as diet change, weight gain, weight loss medication and so on! Hope this helps you!
You need to see your doctor.....you may be developing cysts...in which case you will need to have them removed....either way that is the best thing for you to do...and yes as we grow older our periods change quite a bit..mine went from 5-7 days down to three...but the cramps and bleeding is far worse....best to get those things checked out....
lmao at the post above this. Sorry.
okay, seriously..since you have a family history of early menopause, then yes, it could be peri menopause. I'd go and see your ob though. Certainly sounds like something is going on with your hormones..headaches can be from this as well.
Congratulations! You are pregnant! Don't forget to officially ask if you are pregnant here on Answers!
The Am I pregnant? inquiry count is up to 482,190!
Last week it was in the 460,000's, so if you ask this week, you have a good shot at being number 500,000!!
You will win a month's free supply of diapers and a new stroller! This is an exciting time for getting pregnant!!
Sometimes as us women get older our bodies do tend to do different things, like our monthly cycles can change, be it good or bad. I never use to get bad headaces before my period, but for the last few years I can get really bad headaces that just about make me want to throw up at times. Also, my periods are changing as well(I'm 38 and have had one daughter).
If there is a family history of early menopause then, you might also go through it early as well, but I think the only way that you will really find this out, is to go and see your Doctor and maybe they can do some bloodtests to see what's happening there.

Unbearable Foot Pain :(?
OH GOD!! There's
is something terribly wrong with my foot. It's right below the big toe, that
really hurts. There is no sign of bruising or swelling (yet) but the pain is so
strong. Even with a small tap, it hurts. My parents just say oh it's ok, it'll
feel better but they don't know the pain I feel!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:The_g... if you click on the site, the big
red mark that the cartoon has is exactly where the pain is, the only thing is
that it doesn't look that red at all; it looks down right normal. Please, what
is causing this awful pain?....Anyone?
i am gonna go with gout for 10 points.or possibly bursitis.
Do you wear flip flops a lot? If yes, then you have turf toe. Wear a different
type of shoes for a while and give your toe a rest from gripping every single
step to keep your shoe on. Its common in people who wear flip flops a
lot.

So i went on a run today and started to get sick?! ....?
like i started to get really nauseus (sp?) when i was
running around the lake - this started about half way through (1.3 miles) and
then when i was about 2/3 of the way i just had to stop and when i stopped my
head started getting this achy feel and got really warm - does this mean that i
wasn't getting enough oxygen?
oh and about 30 min be4 my run i had a small frozen yogurt - could this have
caused my upset stomach?
i'm 18, 5'3 and 111 lbs if that helps any
sometimes you get nauseous (spelling correct :)) when you are pushing too hard.
It is oxygen related and will account for feeling sick. Do you normally do this
run at the pace you were running at or did you decide to go a harder this time?
bit odd if you are doing this run on a regular basis...
When your body is out of shape, you'll get nausiated from strenuous exercising.
Even when you're in shape, when you push yourself, that happens.
It could also just be lack of oxygen. If the yogurt was all you'd eaten, you
might just need to eat more. I know people think exercising on an empty stomach
burns more calories, but the opposite is actually true. Your body knows you're
working hard and if it doesn't feel properly fueled, it'll go into starvation
mode and hold onto all your calories. The result of this is a loss or burning of
muscle mass. That will make you feel dizzy and sick. Hope this helps. You can
check out http://betterhealthandfitness.webs.com for articles on exercise that

Strep Throat on babies?
I have strep throat (what a nice Mother's Day right?) and I have a 2 month old baby. Can it be passed on to him? I'm not taking care of him today, he is in the care of my sister for this matter.
If so how bad does it affect them?
YES!!!! The baby can get it. NO question about it. I am a pediatric nurse and I see babies with it all the time. Once you re on antibiotics for 2-3 days you should have reduced the rick to a very low level.
Till then, do not kiss the baby of baby stuff, keep it out of your face, do not cough or sneeze on the baby (or anyone else) and most important of all...WASH YOUR HANDS-A LOT! Wash before picking up the baby, preparing food etc.
Oh, the liquid hand sanitizers will work instead of hand washing, just be sure to use soap and water before eating or cooking...that stuff taste awful!
It effects on a small child or baby can be very bad!
wow...EXACT same situation here. Caught it on mothers day, and my baby is 2.5 months old. My mom came over to watch him today.
Please make sure you take some antibiotics. I am usually a naturopath lover...but at times like this you need to tackle that infection as quick as you can. And sadly enough antibiotics is the best way to do it. Also make sure to limit your time with your little one...I know its hard...but it is best. And get lots of REST!
Strep throat is contagious. You need antibiotics. After 24 hours on antibiotics- you won't be contagios anymore.Watch baby closely for any signs of irritability or excessive crying. If this occurs take baby to the Pediatrician.
im not sure if its contagious
but put ur baby in safety first
left her at ur sis's house until u completely heal up.

Has anyone really been cured of social anxiety?
focus on stuff that makes you proud.
heartfelt proud.
if you love yourself then others will feed off of the positivity.
in the context of your question-it can be.
i dont have it so im not sure..
take care and may god bless...
I don't think it ever really goes away, I think you can just learn to cope
better with it. If you have social anxiety, you'll always have those feelings of
being out of place and insecure, but I think eventually with help and/or
medication, you'll be able to control those emotions and learn to have a more
rational way of thinking.
Yes. This may be the help you need.
http://www.articledesk.info/Article/Ment...
It helped me.
I wouldn't exact say that I've been "cured" but I'm a hell of a lot better at
managing it now...esp since I've been in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
No. You are Never "cured" once diagnosed. You take medication and/or learn with
time how to better cope with this and other disorders.
I'm not sure if people are entirely cured, but I think that some can learn to
deal with it better. But no, I don't think that fear can every go away
completely.
Medication halted the anxiety.

Number of days to work
I love working out,
it keeps me from eating, so basically it has the opposite effect. I have 12 lbs.
more to lose to get back to my former weight (I gained 25 lbs. off at school).
Lately I have been over eating a little bit (2000 calories, and occasional
binges hoenstly), but working out non-stop. I do daily exercises every day,
cardio for 35 min. six days a week, and a weight circuit twice over twice a
week. Also, I take "bootcamp classes" twice a week, and yoga once a week. I know
this is too much, because I am getting burnt out. Also, I never get much sleep.
How often can I be working out without feeling so dead?
Ask your doctor. It seems quite vigorous to me. The answers you get here will be
from amateurs and volunteers. If we're wrong, you cannot sue the
Internet.

Something strange happened to me when I went to the doctor....?
I have I.B.S have done since I was 15 (I'm 24 now). Over the past few months, I suffered from a lot of stress when I was working in the cinema. That was one of the reasons I left there found another, less stressful job. However, because of the stress I endured, it unfortunately brought on one of my I.B.S attacks that lasts about 2 - 4 weeks. It's been giving me a lot of discomfort so I visited my doctor since I was growing so concerned just wanted to make sure everything was okay. The female doctor was very kind but here's what happened. When she was examining my stomach (just gently feeling around), it made me cry. I'm very sensitive when my stomach was being touched, I couldn't help it. I just started crying. I don't understand because I have a friend who's a qualified masseuse I visit her often for a whole body-massage my stomach is one of my favourite parts to be massaged.
It could be that while she was palpating your stomach, this brought up feelings that you were not fully aware of feeling.
You may have been feeling more frustrated than you realized.
You may have been feeling tired of this problem and at the end of your rope.
Maybe you were feeling helpless or hopeless at the time.
Try to figure out what brought those tears.
I hope you will be feeling better soon.
Stay Well!
Could it be due to the stress of the moment? Fear that she wouldn't believe you had a problem? I ask since you didn't mention pain on touch, just sensitivity. If that is the case, don't worry about it - if she is a quack, you can always ask for another opinion.
I have had the same problem recently. I think it is stress. I don't suffer from IBS except once in a while. My blood pressure has been 160/90 as of late, and that is not normal for me at all. I think it is more than a coincidence that I got IBS, and a spike in my blood pressure all at once.
if it wasnt crying because of pain it could just be a mental thing.. everyone has something they dont like or a body part they dont like being touched. heck some people hate physical contact.. that could just be a very sensitive part of your body
I have crohn's. Crohn's and IBS are really similar. Your midsection can be tender to the touch upon a doctor's examination because they know exactly where to poke and prod. Here's the thing though....having a disease that comes and goes is tough on your emotions because you start thinking ... here we go again, I was really hoping this wouldn't be back. Being in the doctor's office just really makes that hit home for me. It's not unheard of for people with chronic conditions to suffer from bouts of depression and anxiety also. Many people who are depressed believe at first that they are not. Consider that you were crying and not cursing when the doctor touched you and consider how much pain you were really in at the time and see which would have been the more appropriate response to you at that time.

if it wasnt crying because of pain it could just be a mental thing.. everyone has something they dont like or a body part they dont like being touched. heck some people hate physical contact.. that could just be a very sensitive part of your body
I just had a blood test, they say my fat count is hight, why is that bad?
Thy made me go on a low fat diet.
Lipids (several different types of fat as listed below) are found in your blood
and are stored in tissues. They are an important part of cells, and they help
keep your body working normally. Lipid disorders, however, such as high
cholesterol, may lead to life-threatening illnesses, such as coronary artery
disease (CAD), heart attack, or stroke.
Cholesterol: Too much cholesterol in the blood can build up along the inside of
the artery walls, forming what is known as plaque. Large amounts of plaque
increase your chances of having a heart attack or stroke.
Low-density lipoprotein (LDL): It is sometimes called "bad cholesterol." A high
LDL cholesterol level may increase your chances of developing heart disease.
Very low-density lipoprotein: A high VLDL cholesterol level can cause the
buildup of cholesterol in your arteries and increases your risk of heart disease
and stroke.
Triglycerides: Having a high triglyceride level along with a high LDL
cholesterol may increase your chances of having heart disease more than having
only a high LDL cholesterol level.
Overall, there are recommended levels and probably your doctor is trying to get
you down to these normal levels. That's why it's good you had the tests done and
you have the chance to change your diet now and prevent some of those
complications. From personal experience I can tell you that it's not that
difficult to lower your levels if you are consistent at each meal and follow the
advice given to you at the doctor's. Also, eating high-fiber foods (oats for
example) provides a special boost in fighting high fats.
Good luck.
High fat content in your blood gives you high blood pressure, which makes your
heart work too hard. It can lead to a heart attack without a change (that has
already been made.)
you'll get diabetes! ahh! if you get it, u'll die. ur body cant hold up that
much fat. or, its something else that isn't that bad. to lose weight, exercise 4
5hours!!!
Because to much fat in your blood can lead to clogged arteries and that in turn
can lead to heart attacks and/or stroke

Migraine headaches?
i've been suffering
with migraines since i was 7
now they been getting more frequent and now to the point where i am getting
dizzy and feeling sick to my stomach. my vison also seems to become blurry but
when i don't have the headaches i have 20/15 vision (yes i have been to the eye
doctors). i try to take medication but nothing seems to work anymore and the
headaches seem to last for days
any help or suggestions you have would be greatly appricated
I've had them since I was about 12, and also am very resistant to the triptans
that are commonly prescribed. The symptoms can manifest themselves differently
over time, even getting as severe as stroke-like symptoms (e.g. can't speak or
write, confusion, very scary). I'm usually "hung-over" for about 2-4 days. The
neurologists are going to keep firing medications at you, eventually including
blood pressure meds. If it were me, I would diligently track what when I was
eating and drinking, and my mood around the time you get one (I'm unbelievably
absent-minded in the days before one).
With me, we finally found my ultimate triggers to be stress and caffeine. After
YEARS of befuddled doctors and ineffective meds, decaf coffee fixed it. Try the
simple, but hard to find causes, and maybe this can circumvent formal treatment.
Remember, it's far easier for a neurologist to prescribe something than to
really get down to nitty-gritty cause and effect, so you must take this
responsibility on yourself. Good luck busting the Migraine Devil!
Should definitely be under a doctors care. Have you tried to eliminate food as a
trigger? It takes a lot of bookkeeping to write down EVERYTHING that you eat,
but sometimes pays off. I am allergic to alkoloids that trigger my headaches.
They are found in any alcoholic beverage, and chocolate. MSG is the other know
trigger and very common. Some restaurants use cheap food or an open salad bar
and bathe their foods in MSG to enhance the flavor or make them appear edible
longer. It may take some extensive test but usually a cause can be found, even
medically.
I would see your Dr about the change in your headaches. Mention the dizziness
and the blurry vision also.
You may just need some different medication? But it is always best to report any
changes.

pl see what suits you.
If you are in cold country use all warm things.
If you have cough/cold body hot water bath will help.
Massage and exercise in front of morning sun is good thing, pl try.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.
If it fails you will have to go for Acupuncture.
There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA,
Back ache, Ear ache/ringing, Stomach ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence
they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis,
constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV
COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION
etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time;
in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney
failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale
bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits like dates, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS
and good sleep will help if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite
nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue.
Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm
behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7
mm below.
It may disappear naturally too.

Whats the right weight for my height?
i am
just under 6ft at 5'11. wondering wat is the right weight for me?
If you eat healthy and exercise your correct weight is what you weigh.
Height/weight charts are not accurate and the BMI is not much better.
Your body fat percentage is a good guide to a healthy body.
People are not the same size or shape even though they have the same height.
Take care of yourself and be happy with who you are.
150-160 is about right acording to the national chart.
but then again thats just body fat.
that does not include or exclude mustle mass so it's very interchangeable
140lb-180lb.

Having seizures on wellbutrain?
ive been
takeing 300 mg of wellbutrain for the last couple months.. and im very concernd
about the seziure aspect of it.
I just resently started to drink wine and alchoal, not getting DRUNK but tipsy..
and i wasnt aware that it could cause seziures.
can someone inform me on if this information would apply to me? or.. ifi should
stop takein my meds?... im not going to drink anymore. plz. im pretty NERVOUS!
if you have started having seizures just since drinking alcohol, then obviously
the first thing to do is abstain totally from alcohol
then tell your doctor. They may decide to stop the Wellbutrin or change the
dose. It really depends why you are on it in the first place.
if you were having seizures prior to starting Wellbutrin, or since starting it,
your doctor also needs to know about that.
its unlikely to cause a seizure unless you have had a seizure at any point in
your life, major head injury, or other factors that would predispose you to it.
if youre concerned, have had a problem, or if you actuallly have had a seizure
at any point in your life, ask your doctor
Stop the alcohol.That comes first.

Are too many Oranges bad for you?
I have
given up smoking for about 6 months now, and am fighting not to put weight on.
I have found that eating Oranges is helping keep too many pounds off, but am
concerned that all this Citric acid and/or vitamin C is bad for me.....I am
eating anywhere from 4 or 5 up to 10 or 12 a day.
Any suitably qualified persons feel free to advise me!
Thanks in advance!
Are too many oranges bad for you?
Well, I'm glad you kicked the smoking habit ~ and eating
oranges is definately an improvement! But too much of a
good thing can still be a bad thing. The vitamin C level
won't be a problem, but I'd be concerned about the citric
acid intake you're making. Citric acid softens your tooth
enamel and makes them susceptible to excessive decay.
Also, the acidity for your stomach may cause you some
stomach problems long term. The sugar in oranges is
high, so you might want to start eating apples and
grapefruit instead (at least in alternation). Grapefruit has
a lot less citric acid and significantly less sugar than
its cousin the orange. Red apples (of several kinds) also
promote weight loss and keep your whole digestive
tract cleaner. So, when the old folks said "an apple a day,
keeps the doctor away", they knew something we forgot.
Eat well, and drink lots of water! Congratulations on
kicking your smoking habit, too!
Good for you for ditching the smoking !! Smoking actually robs you of your
precious vitamin C supplies ............... the only down side that i can see to
eating so many oranges would be that you may get a little bit of diahhorea
....... vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin so any excess that your body
doesn't need will simply be excreted in your urine ?
When i eat too many oranges i find that my skin takes on an orangey hue .......
bit like when you eat too many carrotts i guess. But don't stop with the oranges
if that's what's keeping you from smoking...... vitamin C is brilliant for
protecting you against flu and cold viruses and pumping up your immune system,
its also good for maintaining regularity and keeping blood pressure levels
normal and will protect you against many forms of cancer .............. Good 4 u
mate ?
cheers
Congratulations on stopping smoking... Actually I like your orange habit
considerably better... :)
Also, dont worry about the Citric Acid and Vitamin C... If you take too much the
body will just flush it out the kidneys... One thing you might want to consider
is adding some milk to your diet. Meaning, either that or another good calcium
source would be preferable...
Good Luck and I Hope this Helps...
I don't think that the vitamin C can hurt you. I've eaten entire bottles of
vitamin C tablets before (I dunno... they taste good. 0.0 ) But if you′re eating
up to 12 a day and not gaining weight, that kind of implies that it's your main
source of nutrition, which I think is the biggest problem with this. Oranges do
offer a lot nutritionally speaking, but there are definitely things it does not
have. Protein being the first one that pops into my mind.
Yes, the acid from it will eventually give you heartburn and once you pass 30
this stays in your system no matter what medication you take. I know a lot of
cases. It will affect you kidneys as some other organs after awhile. Cut down to
2 glasses. And I recommend you to take apples -- it cut the acid and replaces
the lining of your stomach and prevents the acid to damage your digestive
system.
Eating too many oranges is not bad for you unless you have a medical condition.
I am diabetic so it would be bad for me but not for a normal healthy person. It
is certainly better than smoking.
Depend if you have a sensitive stomach but no fruit can be bad for you. Listen
to your instincts.
to much of anything isn't great. but in your case your fine. And hey... to much
citric acid never gave anyone lung cancer.

Crystal meditation?
Crystal meditation
envolves a person unlocking their chackra points by use of crystals but does it
work?
Healing with crystals has been practiced in many cultures and religious
traditions for thousands of years. Healing crystals are also frequently used in
meditation and chakra work.
Healing crystals can conduct and amplify energy. They have been used all over
the world and have been found in archeological sites. Many believe that a
healing crystal can be connected with the user’s mind in a way that can amplify
and focus the vibrations of the user’s mind, somewhat like a crystal is used to
create a focused beam in lasers. This allows a practitioner to use the healing
crystal to radiate healing energy in a concentrated form and, sometimes,
transmit it to objects or other people. Healing crystals can also be used to
absorb and release negative energy that creates disease in a subject and balance
their energy fields.
Healing crystals can be used in Chakra work. Each of the 7 energy systems has
certain types of healing crystals associated with it. Practitioners may use
these healing crystals to balance the energy of each chakra and restore balance
to the individual. Healing crystals placed in strategic locations in a room can
have a direct effect on the environment and the well being of the individuals
there.
Having a large healing crystal in a room can reduce stress by reducing the
negative energy in the space.
Healing crystals can be a useful adjunct in meditative practice. Because of
their ability to focus energy they can aid in concentration, relaxation, release
of negative energy, and receptivity. Some recommend a double pointed quartz
healing crystal held in the left hand as an aid in meditation. A double ended
healing crystal is more powerful. The left hand is connected to the right side
of the brain through our nervous system. The right side of the brain is thought
to have a special connection to the pineal gland, and through the pineal gland,
to the Higher Self and higher levels of consciousness. In this way a healing
crystal can aid in connecting to your higher consciousness during meditation.
There is evidence that healing crystals have been used in healing and meditative
practices by the Aboriginal people of Australia, the Cherokee, Apache and Hopi
tribes of Native Americans, the Maya, the Inca, and the Druids. Healing crystals
have been found in archeological sites in most of the ancient world, including
Europe, Egypt, China, and the Americas.
The use of healing crystals has certainly stood the test of time. In many
cultures, shamans had a special relationship with their healing crystals. The
healing crystals were closely guarded and precisely cared for to maximize their
power and protect them from negative energy.
Healing crystals used in removing negative energies were ritually cleansed to
release the negativity and restore their power.
Our practice of wearing gemstone jewelry may have originated in ancient times
from the practice of wearing healing crystals in a pouch around the neck, close
to the heart chakra, a practice that continues today. The healing crystals were
worn to protect against negative energy as well as for healing and balancing the
energy of the wearer. Healing crystals absorb and amplify energy vibrations, but
also have a vibration pattern of their own that is specific to their crystalline
structure.
Different types of gems and healing crystals will have different vibration
patterns that make them particularly useful for different problems. Explore the
use of healing crystals in your meditation, balancing, or healing practices.
Yes, IMHO, they do work. I did a crystal layout on my friend before she had an
angiogram and angioplasty. They sent her home 20 minutes before the procedure
because what they thought was there (the need for the procedure) was no longer
present. Crystals have also helped with this same friend's asthma and COPD,
along with painful knees.
When I had my gall bladder out a few years back, I took my crystals with me to
help speed recovery. The docs looked at me funny, but said I could have them in
the recovery room. They also noted that I did have the quickest recovery they
had ever seen.
All things have energy. We learned in high school physics class that everything
is in constant motion, exchanging ions and reforming protons, neutrons, and
electrons. It is the strong magnetic attraction that keeps a molecule in its
present form and is what helps form the bond to make a solid object. Crystals
use this energy on various chakra points to help restore the body's natural
balance and mode of operation. Just because we don't always understand HOW
something works, does not mean that it doesn't. Not everyone understands exactly
how electricity works, but we trust those that do install the electrical wires
in our house to do it properly and make it happen. Same with driving a car -- we
learn how to drive it, but most people don't know and don't care to understand
how a car operates and function. Just because a person has a lack of knowledger
about how something works doesn't mean that it doesn't or is a sham. But I am
positively sure that SkepDoc does take advantage of other people's knowledge to
help make his life easier just like everyone else does!
And no, I'm not a hippy, nor do I charge any money.

envolves a person unlocking their chackra points by use of crystals but does it

How many points should I eat on Weight Watchers to lose ten pounds?
I am 5'5. I weigh 127. I have always maintained a
weight around 110 - 115... until I quit smoking... and now Im up to 127 and
unhappy. I have been thinking about trying the point system of Weight
Watchers... but, I travel for a living ~ so meetings and programs checkins are
impossible for me.
What is the average amount of points I should consume per day in order to lose
the weight I gained by quitting smoking? Anyone?
Considering you are inquiring about how many points allowed per day, I am
assuming you plan to follow the "Flex Plan" (there are two options- Flex and
Core).
To find your daily points allowance, give yourself the number of points listed
next to the option that fits your situation best:
Your sex:
If you are female- score 2 points
If you are male- score 8
If you are nursing- score 12
Your age:
17 to 26- score 4
27 to 37- score 3
38 to 47- score 2
48 to 58- score 1
Over 58- score 0
Your current weight:
Enter the first 2 digits of your weight in pounds. If you are 175 lbs for
example, you would enter "17".
Your height:
under 5'1"- score 0
5'1" to 5'10"- score 1
Over 5'10"- score 2
Your activity level on most days of the week, how do you spend your day?:
sitting down- score 0
occassionally sitting, but mostly standing- score 2
walking most of the time- score 4
doing physically hard work most of the time- score 6
Add up all your scored points- that is your daily points target.
As you celebrate your birthday, increase your daily activity, or as you lose
weight, you will need to keep retaking this quiz to most accurately figure your
points allowance.
Keep in mind that people who attend Weight Watchers meetings lose 3x more than
those who go at it alone. To find a meeting location near you or to find out the
current price promotions for membership, please look at their website:

In an 81 year male in poor health with pneumonia and a collasped what is the chance of survival?
Pneumonia is a common
infection. While the mortality from this disease has declined due to
improvements in modern medicine, it remains the #1 infectious cause of death.
Unfortunately, old age and pre-existing health problems increase the risk of
death due to pneumonia. Several predictive formulas based on real-world data
have been created evaluate the disease severity. However, these formulas only
provide rough estimates of the chance of survival.
Rest, take your antibiotics until they're all gone, drink alot of fluids and get
alot of sleep. You don't say what's collapsed. Is it a lung? Do whatever the dr.
says and don't try to do anything that might hinder your recovery.
hopefully a lot still :]

What would happen if i was to ingest the contents of a mood ring?
this would be accidental of course
I truly do not know can only speculate. . but I don't believe it would be good
for your health or nutricious in any way. I would not recommend it!!
You may possibly change to many different colors based upon your "Mood"??!!!!
And- All kidding aside. . if you feel or know that you have ingested the
ingredient of "Liquid Crystal" in any amount, then you might want to call your
local "Poison Control Center" to see what they would recommend you do in such a
situation.
the liquid crystal in it would disolve into your blood stream causing you to
have extreme emotional mood swings. In otherwords, I would avoid it if I were
you.

My mom tried eating today..?
My mom has
recently gone 3 weeks without eating, and today she tried eating for the first
time in 3+ weeks.
She had one or two KFC hot wings and some fries and potato salad.
Her stomach got upset and she vomited not very long after.
How can we prevent this?
Every time she eats will she vomit?
She is depressed which isn't much help at all. Is there a certain thing(s) we
can do to help?
Thanks.
After not eating for three weeks, KFC is probably not the best thing to start
back on. Her stomach is not used to food right now and filling it with greasy
fast food will only upset it.
Now I'm not a nutritionist, and it would probably be best for you guys to go see
a nutritionist or doctor for advice. But I would recommend starting out with
something light to get her body back to normal, like some soup broth or crackers
or Jell-O.
But please, even if you cannot get an appointment to see a doctor, at least make
a phone call and talk to a nutritionist or physician to see what's going on
here!
why isn't she eating??? If she want to lose weight she is doing it the wrong
way!! By not eating, espeacially for so long, the food she does eat will be
stored in her body as fat!!! It may seem weird, but your body acually need fat
to survive! by not eating for so long then eating, she's acually gaining
weight!!!! Plus, she's killing herself!!!! You can die by not eating for so
long!! It's called malnutrition!! Why do you think so many people in africa are
dieing?? They aren't?can't eat!!! I think your mom need to talk to a doctor
right away!!! Please listen to me. It's for her own safety!
What were you all thinking? That's the worst thing someone can have after not
eating for so long.
Try some pure, light foods. Whole grains, fruits, veggies, applesauce, yogurt
and the like. None of that fast food crap.
Not eating is the worst thing to do to lose weight. Not to be rude or anything
but your mom might be Anorexic. Or headed down that road at least.
Just eat couple of small meals a day and don't eat too much at one sitting.

For orthodontists, or anybody who would know,,, HELP?
so, i have had braces for 43 months. 3 years 7 months. super, right?
SKIP THIS PART, if you want.
about four months ago i told them i was getting them off, they had my permanent
retainer made from my impression before hand, took off my wires, and all the
nurses were congratulating me. the ortho waltzes in and says, oh nope, you have
one more month. i bawled, and he was just saying he was a good orthodontist.
good orthodontist my butt.
OKAY, DONE.
so, last time, they took off my back braces! yay. and left the front six on top
and bottom, and put my permanent retainer in on the bottom. and told me that
maybe i was getting them off next time.
so, at church today, this dentist old guy was talking about my teeth and was
like yaah! you still have a few months, your back teeth still need to move just
a bit.
i seriously teared up.
SO, QUESTION HERE. VVVV
do you think they would put my back braces back on?
:[
Hey, I don't know if you will need more braces or not, but you should ask them
for an estimate how long the braces will take. I know you want to get them off
soon, but relax, cuz you want your teeth to be ready before the braces are done.
Otherwise after a few years your teeth will move around and become crooked
again.

Which male structure is homologous to the clitoris?
The penis.
Yes. All of those nerves in the penis are bundled into the clitoris. *That* is
why it is important to please your woman orally.
Actually the entire penis!
The head of the clitoris is equal to the head of the pinis, the curx (sp) of the
clitoris is equal to the shaft of the penis.
The clitoris also has cavernosa in it just like the penis!
actually it's the HEAD of the penis. the clitoris has the most nerve endings, so
does the head.
The glans or head of the penis.
The middle toe on your left foot I think.

Tietze syndrome?
Is Tietze syndrome a very severe medical condition? I know someone who has just been diagnosed yesterday and coughed up blood today. I am really worried about her. Could anyone please tell me the severity of this condition? I am totally clueless about it and really need more information.
I don't think coughing is normal for people who have Tietze Syndrome, though it might be because the chest swelling puts to much pressure on the lungs
Or coughing might even be the cause of the Tietze in the first place, so she should definitely go again to the doctor as soon as possible!
Tietze is nothing to serious , I had Tietze syndrome then I was small and now I'm completely fine as it passes after 3-4 months,
What it is is a swelling and inflammation of costal cartilages rip cages and the clavicles, it is often very pain full and unpleasant. It can also be very hard to sleep while having it as you can't really lie down in any comfortable position due to the chest pain and it disables you from doing a number of things while having it
The causes of it are not really known but as I said people with sever caughts can get it, did your friend have any coughing before?
All causes are generally related to some injury or straining of the chest, I got it as I had rheumatoid arthritis and scoliosis which caused it!
Don't worry your friend will be well again in no time :)

I sneezed and my nose came off, what do I do?
It is on the coffee table right now and I don't what to do.
Ask Michael Jackson for advice.
Put it under your pillow tonight and the nose fairy will come along and steal
it.
Super glue it back on be sure and not clog the nostrils you will not be able to
breathe.
Just pick your nose, and put it back again using stick glue, stapler or gun
tacker...
I suggest you put the coke away and call 911
super glue should do the trick.
super glue if u can't deal with a hammer and nails
