Help with plugged ears (from cold)?

I got a
cold that's almost gone, but I always seem to get plugged ears on the tail end
of it. I was wondering if Polysporin ear/eye drops will work to unclog them?
Take a decongestant.
whatever you do, dont put a lit firecracker in your ear to try to unstop it. my
cousin earl did that a few years back, and long story short, we now call him
one-earred- earl.

H, was wondering if anyone knew a genital wart cream that you dont have to go to the doctors for? I dont know?

maybee you can get one in superdrugs or boots or something?! I just dont fancy the embarrasment of goin to the doctors and whipping it out if you catch my drift!!!

Thanks
if 6-8 warts, where out of condom coverage, u may used Wartec for ten days and they will all gone. Wartec around USD 63, a substitute for surgery or frozen... Since wartec fight directly to the warts, it clear warts faster, but painful, so so painful, even difficult to walk after the fourth day applying wartec. One more advice, use Aldara to the area where already recovered from Wartec. Aldara is using your own immune system to fight the virus, to kill the virus thoroughly, keep them from comming back. ( if u use Aldara in the first place, more warts would pop out, since the immune system has been trigger, which may scare the hell out of u ). As u know this HPV virus will keep comming back for the rest of your life, fighting the virus with your own immune system would reduce the chance of the warts comming back. Off course nothing guarantee, if ur skin in touch with someone HPV infected, the warts come back to u again.Besides, if u r female, u need to have cervical check every six months, as HPV may change into cervix cancer. hope it's helpful. I 've been surfing around for this information, and this is the essence so far i can provide. one last remainder, bring along your girl friend/wife to the doctor, cause she may have infected without any symptom. To avoid ping pong effect, i mean, if she is not treated, she would pass to u after u recover from warts, which mean ur warts never gone !! Have her to see doctor too and smear check for cervix cancer. The HPV infected person may also have no sign at all, they got infected but no sign the rest of their life. In average the wart showing in genital area 2-8months after the sexual contact.
Sorry, something forget to tell : 1.Wartec is appliable to the warts around the genital area. Aldara is applicable to the whole genital area, so that the warts b killed before it pop out !.2. Condom won't protect u from HPV virus, don't believe in the ad. Report It
What do you expect this cream to do for you? You have to go to the doctor to have genital warts removed, or burned off. They don't go away with cream, and they are not curable.
Ring NHS direct on 08454647. They will give you professional, helpful and fully confidential advice.
Best wishes J
There is nothing over the counter. Go to the doctor! Whatever you do, don't spread it around.
Dont worry hes senn smalller than yours

Is This Normal ?

Im Worried About How I
Look And i Know Every Girl Is But Im Obsessive About It.
I Won't Leave The House Untill There Is Not One Crease In My Clothes, Or Marks
On My Shoes, My Hair And Make-Up Looks Perfect Is This Normal?
I think it might be a phase depending on your age. If this helps...

Don't care what people think about you. Most of them either look at you because
they just see you, look at you because your pretty, look at you because they
like/dislike your wardrobe. And you know what? That's okay if they like/dislike
how you look. All that matters is that you like it. Try to make yourself not be
a perfectionist. Maybe set a time limit for yourself to get ready?

I hope that helps. ^^
-Coley
It sounds like you have obsessive compulsive disorder (or for short OCD). It
would be good if you done a google search on this to find out more about it. It
would be helpful to you to seek professional advice and help from a counsellor
or psychologist. The ones that specialise in behaviour are probably going to be
the best for OCD.
your just obsessive compulsive....thats normal, but if you want to stop its
going to be hard for you since you do that alot!

Two cyst's? or a bump under nipples (both on either side)?

ok i had a ultrasound a month ago and got one checked out (before the other one came) and saw the doctor and all and he said its a hormonell thing and that its fine but then i saw a specilist and he said the same thing so i left it alone but about 2 days ago i got another small one under the other nipple im 13 and are very healthy and i dont think it could be cancer but im a bit concerned please help best answer will be chosen promptly im also a guy so dont go saying its like breasts lol any help appreciated!
Kind Regards,
Brin R
Actually, my brother had this exact same thing and the doctor told him it was nothing to worry about also. He was about your age when he found them and they eventually went away. I believe the doctor told him it was hormonal as well. You have already seen two doctors who said it was nothing to worry about. If you are still concerned you could always get another opinion. Honestly though, if it was me (and I worry about EVERYTHING!), I would relax.
Thank you very much for the best answer :) Report It
You shouldn't worry much as the specialist's has physically examined u okayed the scan. With some medication the cysts would subside, if its some hormonal problem. U need to be more observant if there are more cysts developing in one area, next to each other. An enlarged cyst = Tumour, if non malignant, if malignant = Cancer. Take care!
yer thats normal mate... when i was 14 i had the same thing n thought i had cancer lol but doctor sed it was completely normal for boys to have that... all it is, is breast tissue forming due to hormones getting confused and will not get any larger just recied with age. im16 now and i have nothing their anymore....so stop worrying its fine

Weird and creepy..................help?

ok
ive been on this new diet thinggie for a few months and ive started to look
decent like i used to way 170 and i look like i way 140 no which is a big deal
for me (add the brests to that weight ) so i look normal but when i get on the
scale it said 176 so i got new scales and it said 175. my friends say i look
like ive lost weight and so do otherpeople....even those who have been cruel
about my weight admit that i look smaller whats up with this
you are probobly losing inches. Weight is relative, especially if you are
gaining muscle. People are dumbfounded when I say I weigh 170, because I wear a
size 8 and am only 5'7". But I also have a lot of muscle from snowboaridng, mtn
biking and weight training. I didn't 'bulk' up, but having a lot of muscle burns
a lot more sedentary calories. So keep up the good work!
There's nothing weird or creepy about that. Different scales may measure your
weight differently. In fact, moving the same scale from one location to the
other or weighing yourself more than once or at different times of the day can
also register different weights. Your weight fluctuates throughout the day and
from one day to the next. The best way to see how your progressing is to measure
yourself instead. Ignore the scale. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it is
possible that you can gain weight, but lose inches. Judge your progress by your
measurements and how your clothes fit.
Well your body could have reshaped slightly giving you a thinner look. It
happens. Did you work out during your diet? If so your musclemass have increased
and your weight is indifferent even though you got rid of some fat.

I does look like you should try out a better diet. If you want a recommendation,
you should visit the health and fitness pages at uwinss.com. There is a great
selection of good diet plans
hmm, that's weird.. maybe muscle mass??
if you're losing weight, it must be something else.. so either you're getting
taller which makes you look thinner, or your fat was being replaced by muscle..
which is good.

When I go to bed I'm not really tired, but when I first wake up, I'm EXHAUSTED!?

I know this happens to most everyone,
but why does this happen?
yea it happens to me - sometimes.
i was told to change my mattress. i think you should stop sleeping so late (in
the nights). this might sound like ur parents sending u to bed at nine every
night, but if u went to bed every night for 2 -3 weeks (maybe not even that
long, it depends on the individual) and woke up at a same time every morning,
where u have had 8 hrs rest. then u should be fine.

if that doesnt work, try to above, with a 'proper' mattress.
might be many things 4 for different people. my doc once suggested i might have
be depression or some kind of sleep disorder. but as i said, it could be many
things. probably normal
didnt mention ur age but i had sleep apnia now i sleep fine and wake up
fantastic(wear sleep mask)

I want to be a paramedic......but........?

okay, im really into the thrill and adrenaline plus i'm a huge fan of the whole medical field and i love to help people...but the only problem is...i dont want to see anybody die, not the physicalness of seeing it but the emotionalness, if i was treating someone i'd do everything in my power and beyond to try to keep them alive and if i lose them i might feel guilty and be thinking about that person and his/her family the whole time...and questions like if only i was faster if only i did this would be on my mind forever...how can i learn to deal with something like this? and how can i get through the guilt of losing somebody??
This is a really hard question!! My sister is an EMT and supervisor over the local hospital's transport system. It was hard for her at first to deal with it, but the only answer to this situation is that it takes time. You have to realize that when all is said and done that you really did do all you could in the time frame that you were given. We all make mistakes, that's a given in any field you go into because we are human. Yes, hindsight is 20/20, but none of us have the ability to know exactly the right thing to do at any given moment in every medical emergency. You can ask any doctor, EMT, nurse, or paramedic - if they actually had the time to second guess theirselves, they probably would second guess themselves and would come up with better solutions in an emergency... but that's just it - it's an emergency, so you go with your instinct. As far as dealing with the guilt - as I said, it's something that takes time to learn to have confidence in knowing that you did everything in your power at the time it was needed.

Mini

Because of medical reasons my doctor
has put me on the mini-pill instead of the full contraceptive pill. I'm curoius
to know how many people have fallen pregnant while using it. I have been told
that as long as i take it as per the instructions it should be as effective as
the normal pill.
When taken correctly, the minipill is just as effective as a combined pill.
(About 99% effective.) The catch is that with the minipill, it is more important
to take the pill everyday at the exact same time (even during your period) and
your protection is compromised even if you are a few hours late taking it, so
the "typical use" effectiveness is lower, like 90% effective.

When i run hard i get a terrible cramp it's awful!!?

it's either on my right or left side below my ribcage it depends
sometimes it varies

each time i run more and more it only hurts worse and takes more time to go away
you need potassium before you start running try to eat a few bananas before
every run
DO NOT RUN THROUGH IT. Body pain is a signal that something is wrong, and you
should slow down and walk for a minute or two. That being said, it's nothing
serious! I read that people tend to exhale when they land on their right foot,
thus jolting the liver, and this can cause the muscles around it in your abdomen
to cramp. Try inhaling on your right foot steps and exhaling on left foot steps
(not every single one...like every 3rd step...if you understand?) Also make sure
you haven't had too much or too little water.
i get that too.....it is perfectly normal, don't worry about it. U just need to
keep pushing urself, and then ur body will get used to the running. I kno it
hurts, but if u don't it will just continue to get worse.

How common?

is it to get a negative test result using a home pregnancy test? I took one earlier this after noon only to get a negative result.

My period is about 12 days late, my nipples are sore, I felt a bit sick last week like I was getting the flu, but it would come and go, but I also just got over a cold, does having a cold affect missing your period or give you any other pregnancy like symptoms?

I know sometimes it's better to take the test in the morning with your first pee, but I'm just wondering how common it is to get negative results with home pregnancy test...

Also, is having a constant slight headache a symptom of pregnancy?

I've done a lot of research on the internet about a lot of this stuff, but I'm just wondering about some real stories.

Thanks in advance! =]
All tests everywhere cannot and never will be 100% accurate. Most pregnancy tests are over 90% accurate. Generally the cheaper pregnancy tests are less accurate than expensive ones but this is only in the realms of a few percent.

It also depends when you take the pregnancy test. Hcg is not detectable in the urine until several weeks after implantation. If you had unprotected sex less than 2-3weeks ago you'll need to wait until 3 weeks has passed and then repeat the test.

Otherwise, the most accurate pregnancy tests can be done at your doctors or a sexual health clinic.

You cant rely on 'symptoms' of pregnancy to confirm pregnancy as everyone is different everyone experiences different sensations, and they are always vague signs which could be down to anything including stress.

When you FIrst start.........?

when you
first start your period do you have to go to the doctor because my mom said i
did but i don't know if it has to deal with my diabetes. but if you do, what
will they do to me?
Oh no you don't have to go to the doctors at all even if you have
diabetes...Don't worry...if you did go to the doctors just because they would do
look around down there and check things out. But you shouldn't have to get a
check up down in that area until your 18...or sexually active and your WAY I
mean WAY to young for that....
Typically you would start seeing a gyno when you:
1) Become sexually active
or
2) Turn 18

When you first start your period, you don't have to go to a doctor because you
started.
Yes, you do have to tell the doctor you have started your period. You just have
to tell your doctor when you started.
The doctor will not check down there.
if u have diabetes, u might wanna go just to make sure nothing goes wrong, cuz
blood is coming out of your body, and you cna become anemic. better to be safe
than sorry!

Herballife on ebay?

Hey guys,
I found you could buy shapeworks products on ebay for really cheap compared with the retail price.
Is it worth it to get it from ebay? the only reason i'm worried is because i dont know if the seller might have mixed something in it..or something and than put the seal back on.;
is it safe to get the herbal products from ebay or could someone tell me a good and reliable site to get these products for cheap?
thanks
Be careful with those herbal remedies. They can have serious side effects, and may not mix well with common medicines. And buying stuff on ebay increases the risk.

How long till I lose muscle?

I have been
lifting for about 3 years, heavily.. and now I'm pretty big.. 230 muscle, cut..

Hurt my shoulder and I'm worried that I will lose what I have gained. Shouldn't
it take just as much time to lose as it took to gain???
There's a way to keep the muscles without using them...

By implanting electrodes (invasive but can easily be done by a doctor's
appointment) under the skin tissue can keep yourself from losing your muscle.
How it works: By stimulating pulses, the electrode can make sure your muscle is
used frequently (lactic acid buildup--then cells generate to build on that
muscle).

Make sure you do not tear your muscle any longer, ask your doctor if it is right
for you.

Some of my guy friends do this when they've broken a bone. No problems so far.
no, you lose muscle mass at a much quicker rate then you gain it. Muscles
generally start atrophying (decrease in size) after 24-48 hours without
exercising.

How many hours should you wait?

You know
how some people have to take medications once a day but they love to
drink........

How many hours after you took the meds can you drink alchohol(say you take the
meds at night) Or how many hours do you have to wait to drink after taking meds?
Since your doctor is paid to make sure he takes good care of you, it's his job
to answer that question as he has to deal with the problems if you do it wrong.

so... ask your doctor...
you can also ask your pharmacist when you pick up the medicine, or call him back
later and ask him...

you see, how long you have to wait depends on the medication, and how much it
might interact with alcohol. That varies greatly from one medicine to another.
cw
Insufficient information:
1. What's the medication in question? It has a half-life meaning how long in
hours before half of it is out of your system. Need to know that.
2. How much are you planning to drink usually? For people who drink only 1-3
drinks, it's usually ok and safe with most medications. But people who drink
heavily will be interfering with the meds and maybe inviting disaster. Quit
drinking for a few days, or if you can't, ask your doc to give you a different
medication if one is available.

In other words, not a good question for Yahoo Answers, because it asks for
medical knowledge that only doctors have.
Depends on what the medication/s is/are.

Some are absolutely contraindicated to mix with alcohol. Please speak to your
pharmacist about it.
I take medicine at 9:00 pm and 9:00am do not drink unless I don't take med's
what do you take.? usually on the bottle it will say do not drink with alchohol
it can really mess with the brain your sleep !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wash the pills down with alcohol

Are you an indigo child or do you know one or crystal?

are you psychic or have psychic abilities. How would one do a
differential diagnosis of them over autism. I am just curious more then anything
and interested, I don't anyone that i know of with either.
They say that indigo children have very soulful eyes, have premonitions at an
early age, have dreams that usually come true. They are in this earth to change
the way humans think.

Crystal children will benefit from the foundation set about by the indigo
children.

The difference between the autistic and crystal child? The crystal child reaches
out to others. The site below discusses these further.
indigo child is just another term helicopter parents use to convince everyone
their little monster is sooooo much more special and perfect than anyone elses
little brat.every one i kno has an "indigo child" who is also supposedly "a
gifted student."yeah.right.a nation of little geniuses.except they beat each
other up and put it on utube, and they cant pass exams.

DOCTORs ABBREVIATIONS HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

What does this mean?

Pt w. history of hypothyroidism, likely 2/2 to h/o radiation to neck. Thyroid
lobes left in place in order to preserve parathyroid glands.

So exactly did they take out the thyroid glands or left them there?
patient with history of hypothyroidism, likely due to history of radiation to
neck. Thyroid lobes were left in place in order to preserve parathyroid glands.
Does not look like they took out anything....left in place
Will you allow me to operate on you?
NO

Why do I explode in angry outbursts cry because of the "LITTLEST" thing someone tells me?

I know I'm answering my own
question, but maybe you can add your input about how I can deal with this
situation. I'm very sensitive. My feelings get hurt easily. I suffer OCD,
Tourette's, anxiety, depression. People have treated me very nasty ALL my
life. I get more more sensitive by the day because it's unfair, unusual,
abnormal how I get treated. I'm 24 with a BA degree in Spanish. People treat me
like I'm so mentally special stupid that they think I'm too dumb to know left
from right 1+1. I suffered 2 strokes @ age 5. I'm not trying to get anyone to
"cater to" me. I just ask that they not be so abusive hateful. Because others
don't understand the daily struggles I have to face, they treat me like an
uncivilized animal figure it's THEIR place to mentally torture me they
laugh, thinking it's funny. I want a career a future, but I think my life is
over. No one wants to hire me because of my tics. All they see is my tics,
they think I'm a MONSTER.
I'm pretty much in the same (actually worse) situation. I suffer from anxiety
disorder (with agoraphobia) and depression. I'm a country away from my brother,
the only person I trust. My family gives me A LOT of trouble and pressure about
my situation like I want to stay so. I'm not a college graduate. I just found
out the guy I love is married and not single like he told me so. And I'm getting
kicked out of my apartment in less than a week. I'll stay at my friend's house
for a while then I have no idea what I'm going to do, where I'll stay..etc I
have no money, house or car.

I told you this because you're not alone. In fact, there are people whose
situation a lot worse than yours. Your life is not over, my life is not over. We
are only in our 20s. (I'm almost 23) We're having a difficult time right now but
things can change IN A DAY sometimes. You should think positive, you should be
optimistic and not give up. When you feel down, just go out and talk to people.
Or chat with people online. I'm sure your life was not like it is right now for
24 years 7/24. Remember your good days, how were you in these days? Try to get
into that way of thinking and feeling. Once you change the way you feel and
think, your actions will change too. If you make this change positive,
everything's gonna be better.

You're absolutely not alone. Bless you, lady. Good luck! :)
I am really, really sorry about that. My suggestion would be to move.
Move to a place where nobody knows you. Then see a counselor. then you can start
fresh. Get a job and work your way up.
Sorry people treat you like that :(
:( dont worry im 15 and everyone calls me emotional and when im fine they say
hey kaytlin quit being so damn emotional when they are saying that it just makes
me feel worse!
i still don't have my left and right down an im not sutupid (most of the time
anyway)

i dont think ur a monster

this has to get better eventally

Hard to breathe when im about to get my period/ when i already have it,.. is this normal?

hmm?
asthmatics have more trouble around their periods, have ur dr test u for asthma.
feel better soon! Report It
The only thing I can think of is that when you get your period, the raised
levels of the hormone Estrogen causes extra inflammation in your body. If you
suffer from an auto immune disease, or any inflammatory disorder (like asthma),
it can exacerbate it.
No, that's not normal. It might not be a huge problem either, but I would make
an appointment to get it checked out.
That always happens to me, but I have asthma.

I don't smoke
I feel so proud to be able to say that because I was a 40 a day smoker!
Please for your own good health try and give it up before it's too late.
You will be richer in money and health if you do!
Why smoke? 4 friend and relatives have died because of smoking over the past 2
years.

If you want to kill yourself go ahead.

WHAT'S THE POINT?!
NONE.. they're nasty and are legal ways in which to pay someone else to kill
ourselves. I use to smoke.. and I got wise enough to quit. I hope you do too.
Smoking kills.

What medicines help with curbing anger?

Like perscribed pills, not pot or anything.
One type of medication they often use to control anger is an anti-depressant. I
know that may sound strange, but anger is often a sign of depression; people who
are depressed often strike out at others in fits of rage.

Anti-depressants come in all different kinds of formularies, and are prescribed
based on your particular chemical imbalance. Most cases of depression are due to
a chemical imbalance in the brain where one or more of the brain's natural
chemicals is not being produced in sufficient quantity to keep us on an even par
-- to keep us feeling good.

In most cases, doctor's begin by prescribing SSRI's ~ Selective Seretonin
Reuptake Inhibitors ~ which put Seretonin back into your brain; Seretonin is one
of the brain's "feel good" chemicals and, when we're depressed, we don't produce
enough Seretonin in our brains. One example of an SSRI would be Prozac -- most
people have heard of Prozac from several decades ago.

If not administrered properly, anti-depressant medications can be very
dangerous, and may even cause some people to commit suicide. It's very important
to keep in close contact with your doctors while on these types of medications;
tell your doctors of any adverse side-effects or feelings you have while taking
the drugs. Often times, a simple adjustment in dosage is all it takes to fix the
problem.

Sometimes, it takes a combination of 2 or 3 different medications to get these
chemical imbalances under complete control. I, myself, am on 2 anti-depressant
medications and 1 anti-anxiety medication, all of which are prescribed to help
me cope with the fact that I'm in constant, chronic pain and I'm physically
disabled, and I have been for over 15-years. That type of long-range pain and
disability can make a person very depressed and anxious; you feel there's no end
in sight to your pain, and you're always afraid of losing your job, your spouse
or significant other -- who wants to stay in a relationship with a cripple? It's
really hard to live this way; you never know what's going to happen next.

It's also very important to know that, if you were to go on these types of
medications for anger control or depression, you don't want to mess with illegal
drugs like pot, or even alcohol. Recreational drugs like pot and alcohol can
mess up how these medications work in your system; they can mess with your brain
chemistry and destroy the whole purpose behind the medication. If you want to
stay alive, stay away from mixing recreational drugs and prescribed medications
at all times; it simply isn't worth the risk.

I hope this helps answer some of your questions. If not, send me an e-mail
through Yahoo! and I'll write to you personally.

MinPin
I'm on a variety of meds, but they've put me on Lamictal (a mood stabilizer). It
is supposed to keep depression and anger more even.
Clonidine may help curb angry outbursts.
maybe (paxel) is for moods and depression the one i take is called (tegratall)
it works ok
Lexapro has helped me!!
= )
It depends on MANY things. First, you need a diagnosis. Go find a therapist.
They put me on 400mgs of wellbutrin and that seemed to help my
anger

What is the average weight of a breast?

lol
Average cup size is a C so average weight of one breast would be around 1.3lb.
For both breasts it would be a total of around 2.6lb.

1cc of fat = 0.9g (breasts are mostly fat).
Every cup size is roughly 220cc.
From the females I have been associated with, my guess would be about 6 pounds.
.05 pounds
like, 2 pounds.

but i dont know for sure, i havent weighed mine in ages.
;]
idk
whoo weighs there boob?
Um....why???? But i think it's about 0.7 pounds.

Gained weight in 2 weeks vacation, strange..?

Ok, I had 2 weeks vacation and I weighted around 77KG at the start.
Now I weight 83KG, althought I havn't eat that much those 2 weeks.
The days I been trew were as followed:
Standing up at 1 o clock(no breakfast)
Normale eat/calorie intake, but abit more fatty food then usual.
Last meal I eat is around 3 o clock midnight.
I did smoke mariuana almost everyday(because I live in the netherlands its
legeal, and some effects of being stoned it you get hungry alot. AND I know it's
bad! but just for this vacation)
But as you can see my whole eat/living schedule is screwed up.
Will this be the reason that I gained that much weight?
If I start eat/living back to my normale schedule again(3 meals á day etc.) will
I lose the weight I gained..?

Now a totally differend question: Is it bad to drink only water, nothing more,
around 11-12 oclock before sleeping time?

Can someone please awnser these questions and give me some advice to get my
normale size back again?
Thank you, Byee!
You will eventually lose the weight if you revert to your normal habits. You
might want to cut out treats so you lose the excess weight a little faster.
Water in the evening is OK.

How long does it take for marijuana to be out of your system?

Is there any herbal tea or tablet that can make the process
quicker?
Does garlic truly work?
drink lots of vinagar!! my friend did this for like 1 day stright and it got
everything out! kinda like cleaning a cofee pot. if its short notice like that,
then he was chugging it non stop over the tolite for a whole day with nuthin but
vinager. he got sick but it got it out of him! just make sure u quit 3-6 days b4
u get tested and drink lots of water, eat 1 or 2 oarnges, eat salads w/ vinager
or stight vinager, red wine vinager the best. yes tea too. yes theres pillls
thats clean out your system in 3 days, but u gota do these other things too. and
u can get the pills too. you'll be fine just do that.

depends on how much u did, if u did 1 bowl within like 30 days, then its out! it
takes about 1 day to get 1-2 hits of weed out depending on how good the weed is.
u'll kinda kno if its out, if you still feel high it mite not be out, cuz u can
feel high for monthes with out doing it sometimes. but if u have been doing like
20-10000 bowls a day everyday for the past year, then u gota stop for like a
month.

vote mine best.
trace elements may be found in your system up to 3 months after, thats with
regualar usage.. Report It

long enough for you to realize you shouldn't be doing it.
the fastest way is to not smoke at all (:

How do you talk to parents about having matching symptoms of a Mental disorder?

I normally talk to my mom about
everything like when I was in junior high and had to take antidepressants and
now about 5 years or so later I feel I can't talk to her about what I feel is
wrong with me. I have done research and everything on it and it matches up
pretty well I just don't want her to get upset with me or anything... She is
very understanding but still mental disorders are a big deal so I am scared. Any
suggestions?
You could write her a letter and have her read it while you are in school. Email
her or even text her.
Show her the quiz or something you printed out.
Tell her you really want to talk to a doctor about some things you are concerned
about. I think she will listen and want to do what is best for you. Yes, mental
illness is a scary thing; but not seeking help is SO much worse.
Good Luck and God Bless.
You need to get an actual real diagnosis first. Then, the therapist may want to
bring your parents in for psych education. Let them do the informing, not
you.

I want to get really muscular. How many times a week should i work out?

I'm only 120 pounds. And everything i eat just
seems to do nothing to me. I'm a 18 year old guy and i want to get really
muscular. How often should i work out and what proteins should i be taking? I'm
not very good with the body building stuff or things i should and should not
eat.

And do i have to take a type of weight gainer maybe?
Work out every other day. Your body needs time to recover or you are justt
making it weaker. This is because when you weight train you break down the
muscle and your body realizes it needs to be stronger so that won't happen
again. Hae some protein such as a burger or chicken sandwich afterwards. Carbs
in things like pasta would also be good. Don't use protein pills they are pretty
much fakes and a waste of your money. Drink water beetween exercises on hot
days. You sound pretty small for 18 so I suggest eating a litttle more or if you
really are just natturally that small make sure to start out light on the
weights. Unless you are competing eat whatever sugar you want, you will still
get stronger, just not be a physicly healthy. If you don't have the time work
out three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday but every other day which
is basicly alternating 3 and 4 days a week would be best. If you work out two
days a week you will not get better but will not get worse. Hope this helps and
good luck getting stronger!
dont bother with all the protein powder crap you can buy, at your age and weight
combined your body prolly wouldnt metabolise it properly and you would be
wasting money. the best thing to do is just work out every second or third day
and eat meals that are healthy. try eat more meat and carbs bread, rice, pasta
etc, than ususal but dont go over the top. when you start seeing yourself put on
muscle then get more serious and look at a more specific diet. pushups suck, but
are awesome for putting on muscle effectively as they work most muscle groups in
the body and they dont take up too much of your time. i had a friend that went
from steven hawking looking to pretty buff in 6 months of doing up to 300
pushups every few days. gd luk
You're pretty small right now. But if you're serious about this here's my
suggestion.

Lift four days a week hitting every major muscle group once. Eat a lot of food,
but make it healthy. Try to eat five or six smaller meals, instead of 2 or 3
large meals. Of your daily caloric intake, 25% should be protein (try for 1g
protein / pound body mass), 50% should be carbs, and 25% should be from fat.
Note that 1g protein, 1g carb has 4 calories, 1g fat has 9 calories. Do high
intensity cardio at least a few times a week.

As for supplements, try GNC Whey Protein Isolate. Also, I've never used it but
I've heard great things about NO-Xplode.

Do you think the United States is in need of Universal Healthcare?

I do, our country would save so much money if we
would change to a Universal Healthcare program similar to that of Canada,
France, and England
Universal health coverage would solve some of the problems of the healthcare
industry. But tort law and mal practice are still a problem.

additionaly, wait times and decreaced coverage will become an issue.

bottom line, I fear giving the government another entitlement
program....medicare, and social security are sinking our federal government.
to the persson who said medicare and social security are sinking our government
i must say your nuts . elaborate spending , misappropriation , and our
politicians padding their own investments with outr money is the real culprit
behind our governments problems . too many politicians sell out to private
interest groups and greed is the Washington way . Universal Hewalth care has its
good points as well as its drawbacks the same as any other system but I think
its a good idea !
What the USA really needs is to get it's head out of it's AZZ and quit letting
Corporate America run this country......
Our system of things in this country would work well if all the damn greed and
buyoffs from special interest groups was removed from politics and the gov't
truly would work in the interest of the folks who elect them.
no because Canada sucks why should we follow after them!
Hell yes!!!

K

i have just bought K-Pro creatine and was
wondering if it really works
i've never even heard of k-pro...its probably a sh*tty off-brand but i bet it
kinda works....

i'd suggest spending more money and getting BSN Cellmass or MRI Blackpowder

***okay, this kid is an idiot...not every creatine is GOOD. pure creatine is way
better than walmart brand....i'm trying to tell you the BEST creatine that will
GIVE YOU RESULTS!
Creatine is a great product whatever brand it is. That first answer should be
ignored. Most creatine should have about 5g per serve. And generally taken 3-4
times a day. But check the instructions.

I always choose pure creatine and have never gone wrong.

White canker sores on back of throat?

My
sister has these white canker sores on t he back of her throat. she has about
8-10 and we're worried with what it is. we went to the doctors and she took 2
strep throat tests and they BOTH came out negative. she is not sexually active,
she does not have a fever anymore. we're thinking tonsillitis? but we do not
know for sure. should she go back to the doctor? help please! give us all the
info you have!
One of the most painful canker sore is in the tonsil. Canker sore in tonsils are
not contagious and neither caused by bacteria or various. It usually occurs due
to allergy to either foods or medicine or dental health products that you use.
Canker sores may be also a result of bad oral hygiene and irritation from hard
food, a break or a scratch in the tonsils may cause canker sores.

Canker sores are caused from breakdown of tissue structures and the herb named
Gotu Kola is known to heal wounds and promotes growth of connective tissues and
it is taken as brewed tea.

Rinse with alum, milk of magnesia and chicona bark are other alternative rinse
to prevent canker sores. Another effective herbal remedy is using licorice root
as it is an anti- inflammatory and tissue healer.

Combined with good oral health hygiene such as brushing and flossing, relief
from discomfort brought by canker sores is not that difficult.

But for severe cases it is always better to seek professional recommendations
from your dentist.

more information available about canker sores at
http://oramd.ca/gumdisease/4-keepyourhea...
Paramedic here. Yes, go back to the doctor. The first cultures may have been
early and the infection didn't show up. It called also be a fungal infection
called thrush. That is not unusual in children her age. Not having a fever seems
to bear away from strep or tonsilitis. There are prescription rinses that can be
prescribed for thrush. They even make them cherry flavored or bubblegum
flavored, so munchkins like using them. I hope this helps. Mine are grown and
gone, but I remember...
It could very well be tonsilitis or just tonsil stones....however, I recently
had the same condition and I went to urgent care. Believe it or not, the first
thing they tested me for was Mono. You don't have to be sexually active or even
kissing anyone to get it. It is just a virus. I think she should go back to the
doctor and get a mono test done. It only takes 5 minutes and requires just a pin
prick on your finger. Since she isn't sexually active, she doesn't really have
much to worry about. The bad news is that if it is tonsilitis or mono, there
isn't much they can do for you. They are both viruses which means that
antibiotics wont work. Good Luck!
If the strep tests came out negative, then it's a viral infection, and should
clear up soon. She should try rinsing the back of her mouth with Peroxyl
mouthwash after gargling with warm salt water. Tell her not to swallow the
mouthwash because it contains peroxide.
How long has your sister had these white lesions? You say your sister doesn't
have a fever...anymore. So, does this mean she had one at one time? At what
point? For how long? How high did it run? Are the lesions at the sides of the
throat or the very back? Do they extend to the soft palate (roof of the mouth)?
Are they painful? How do her tonsils look to you? How is her overall health?
Does she seem to get sick often? How are her eating habits? Is her nutrition
good? What did her doctor have to say? You haven't said much about the doctor
role in all this and what she's done aside from the Strep tests.

I can't give you much information without getting a whole lot more information
from you. I can tell you that if they haven't healed in two weeks and aren't
painful, this may be something more serious than canker sores, which aren't
serious at all. She can try one of these home oral rinse treatments. Mix 4 oz.
water. 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. baking soda. Or, mix 2 oz. peroxide with 2 oz.
water. With either one, rinse for one full minute 4 times a day for 2 weeks.
Then reassess for effectiveness.

Why do Americans complain about the high cost of health insurance?

They are the ones who don't exercise, they eat a
lot of junk food, and over 70% are fat. Tell me why a nation with a lot of
resources would complain about the high cost of health care, when they can just
do simple things, like eating an apple, or drinking water and running, to stay
healthy. I bet if the majority were healthy, we wouldn't even worry about the
cost of health insurance. In Economics, when the demand of a product is high,
(such as health insurance) the producer can increase prices as long as the
demand won't go down (health insurance's demand probably won't go down because
of more and more unhealthy Americans). You see that, that's why the price is
going up. I just wanna hear a few suggestions from you guys. This nation is
really messing itself up.
well smart one, u get a lot of people in different countries who are fat and
dont eat right and what not so dont put all the blame on america when so much of
the US population is made up of what hmmm lemme think -IMMIGRANTS!- oh and they
get all the good deals too by the way so they mess it up for the rest of us
decent honest hard working people and for everybody it is a hassle to have to
worry about health insurance unless you are so rich that you can afford to get
fat and not worry about health insurance because you know you have all of that
backed up by your money oh and another thing MOST of us do try to eat healthy
but its not always that easy considering all the things we have to pay for in
order to have a house a car medical insurance dental insurance on top of all of
the taxes we pay going out of our paychecks and what not so we run to mcdonalds
for dinner for example u know what i mean so think about that before u start
thinkin ur some know it all u sound ignorant
Because it's not only obese, lazy, and uncaring people who have health care
problems. I have a variety of health problems (both physical and psychiatric)
and my family can barely afford it. My insurance doesn't cover therapy or my
psychiatrist. They don't cover numerous ER visits (btw one which was over 4,000
USD for a freaking MRI alone).
I am a teenage american and I am at a healthy weight. Just the other day I
needed to go get an updated physical and I have health insurance, but they
denied me it for the checkup! It cost nearly 400 dollars! Now THAT is just
rediculous! It's all messed up.
Everything is wayyyyy overpriced.....I had to go to the E.R. for something, that
is not because of weight problems, and jut 1 does of tylenol was like $50
bucks......and it was tylenol!!!!!!!!!
Well, go Canadian! I live in Canada and I am really glad. Everything is paid by
taxes, so health care is pretty much free. And our taxes aren't that high.
Like...15% I think.
i don't know but if you want good health insurance go to canada
What is really messed up is when we are paying outrages price for health
insurance and they only pay a VERY small percent of what needs done.
My daughter HAD to have mouth surgery when she was 3, there wasn't anything that
we could have done different to prevent it from happening to her.
The cost was over $10,000, our messed up insurance paid a whole $1,500! The
remaining amount had to be paid up-front before they would do it.
How is that fair? Why make little children suffer. It is out of their control if
their parents can't come up with that kind of money.

It is just absurd the way the goverment works.

17 can i grow?

i already turned 17 on march
and i have alot of leg hair and i have little facial hair when i shave it become
prickly after a week
I am 5'75
My dad is 5'9
my mom is 5'3
my dads dad was 5'7

I was 5'5 exactly 2 years ago and now i am 5'75 so do you think i can gain 2
inches of height
Yes you can!
My brother was 5'6 or so in junior year and into his senior year hit 5'10. He
just had his growth spurt very late. This was also surprizing because my dad is
5'5 and my mom is 5'0, so height is not readily avaiable in the gene pool.
On a side not he also got a pex, arms and six pack abs practically overnight...
I was very angry at how we split our chromosomes. He went from waterboy to bench
in one year (size didn't equate skill unfortunately).
Eat well, stay away from caffine, drugs, and alcohol, do excersies that involve
more stretching and flexibility vice shock to you body (think yoga vice rugby).
Good luck, but if it happens it happens. I think 5'8 is a great height.
Hmmm regarding the facial hair , if its normal moustache or beard you can shave
or trim it . My bf generally trims because he gets sensitivity and pimples
because of the blade used for shaving , as for facial hair , he prefers to pluck
them with a tweezer because the hair on the cheeks if you trim or shave them
then your cheek region turns green and it doesnt look good !! And as for your
height , you might still gain some height till 20-22 -ish because by now most of
your bones have ossified , but there is still cartilage left in some joints like
the shoulder joint , hip joint , knee joint which ossify at 17-20 years . Try
playing some basketball , but i cannot promise you that you will gain some
height , my teachers in school used to tell us in 7th grade to put a dot with a
pencil on top of the door and try jumping and trying to reach it , apparently it
would increase the height but i havent tried it out , good luck :)
5'7 is slightly above average, be proud. your nearly done growing so its
unlikely you'll grow much more naturally. there is leg extension surgery but i
hear its very painful.
Start hanging from you ankles every day for at least an hour.
Yes, boys sometimes dont stop growing till theyre 23-25
no cant grow after 14

Who does the thymus cancer affect?

Age,Gender,Ethnic group..etc
It can affect anyone of any age, both genders and any ethnic group. This is the
case for all cancers except those that are gender specific.
check out this research group

Medical opinion required please ?

I am 41 year old female, and have always been an early riser. After about two hours of being awake and on my feet, my legs begin to ache and they feel like lead weights. Also my ankles swell up too. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
There is a condition called venous stasis. This is basically where the little valves in the veins in your legs stop working properly and the blood begins to kind of pool in your lower extremities. It causes pain and swelling. It is usually relieved when you sit down for a while. If you do have this condition, which needs to be confirmed by a physician, there are several treatment options - from wearing a special kind of hosiery all the way to having the veins in your legs replaced with your own properly working veins from some other place in your body. It could also be caused from fluid retention but you need to have this confirmed by a doctor too. There are special medications that can alleviate this fluid retention. I hope you get some help soon because it sounds like you are in considerable pain.
It sounds like you have varicose veins, which aren't always visible. Ankle swelling is usually a sign of fluid retention. Try a mild diuretic like Aquaban, and when you're sitting at home try and put your feet up - if it is fluid retention you should notice that your feet are much less swolen first thing on a morning. You don't say how old you are, but it might be an idea to have a chat with your doctor about it anyway.
Ring NHS direct on 08454647. They will give you professional, helpful and fully confidential advice.
Best wishes J
Water retention, try taking tablets for water retention, most chemists sell them.
Shoes are to tight !

Counsellor?

Ok, so heres the situation.

- I am unhappy with the way I look, inside and out.
- My Dad died when I was 10 (I'm fourteen now)
- I've had a massive fallout with two ex-best friends, and now don't speak to
about 11 others who were in the group. I am very mature in that respect so this
isn't a silly fallout things will never get back to the way they were.
- I've contemplated and tried suicide.
- I hate the person my Mum is "seeing" at the moment.
- I feel very alone, and hate my shyness.

Well anyway, I was diagnosed with depression and have an appointment with a
counsellor, I was very suicidal when I went to see the doctor. The appointment
is in 5 days, but I feel much better and happy now. The thing is, when something
goes wrong I seem to go suicidal again. Should I see the counsellor or not
because I feel ok at the moment?

Please don't write harsh things, sorry i'm quite emotional in that respect =]
Thanks
That counselor is like your lifeline. You need to keep that channel completely
connected with him or her in whatever way you possibly can. Talk to that person
about your feelings and be sure you tell him/her exactly what you wrote here
about reverting to feeling suicidal when things go wrong. Your counselor needs
to know that. If he is not willing to keep the channel open with you like giving
you a phone number where you can always reach him, have him give you a number
you can call 24/7 so you always have a support person available to you until you
feel strong and like yourself again. You are definitely on the right track, but
you need to have that counseling help available to you all the time and that is
your next big step - making it possible. You need to speak to your counselor and
if you get the run-around from him, you need to speak to someone else there
until you get help. Keep reaching out and you will definitely get the help you
need and it will be there for you when you need it which is what you are asking
about in this question right now.
Yes, go see the counselor. I had good days when my depression wasn't being
treated, but sooner or later the suicidal thoughts would start to pop up.
I was taking antidepressants and the way they worked for me was by blocking the
suicidal thoughts so the counseling could help me.
I saw my counselor a few weeks after being told to stop the meds, and she could
see that I was going down again.
I had the good luck of seeing two great counselors, if you don't feel
comfortable with the one you see you should be able to find another one.
Yes, I think you should. I know you said your feeling better. That's great for
you. But, you still have to talk about the things that wrote above. I see mine
every week whether or not I'm feeling sad. You don't have to be scared. I know I
was at first and I'm 46 yrs old. It's nice to talk to someone who listens and is
really there to help. You can tell them anything. You can cry, laugh and it's
even OK to get angry if that's what your feeling.

Take care and please don't give up!
Yes, I really think you should see the counselor.
You should definitely go see the counselor even if you feel ok right now. It
takes a while to get back to a good place when a person is feeling like you do -
I was in a similar place 2 years ago and I went to my counselor for almost a
year before I felt ok enough to stop. I even went when I was having a good day
and feeling better about things - it was just nice to be able to talk to someone
who was not going to judge and who could help me work through even the daily
things that would come up. So yes - definitely keep your appointment and I hope
you feel better soon. Good luck!
