How do you talk to parents about having matching symptoms of a Mental disorder?

I normally talk to my mom about
everything like when I was in junior high and had to take antidepressants and
now about 5 years or so later I feel I can't talk to her about what I feel is
wrong with me. I have done research and everything on it and it matches up
pretty well I just don't want her to get upset with me or anything... She is
very understanding but still mental disorders are a big deal so I am scared. Any
suggestions?
You could write her a letter and have her read it while you are in school. Email
her or even text her.
Show her the quiz or something you printed out.
Tell her you really want to talk to a doctor about some things you are concerned
about. I think she will listen and want to do what is best for you. Yes, mental
illness is a scary thing; but not seeking help is SO much worse.
Good Luck and God Bless.
You need to get an actual real diagnosis first. Then, the therapist may want to
bring your parents in for psych education. Let them do the informing, not
you.
