PCOS question?

I ahve poly cystic ovaries,
and only get my period every 3 - 4 months. I got told i wont be able to have
kids
I just got my period now, and it was 5 1/2 months after my last one.
Does this mean the PCOS is getting worse?
I don't think PCOS gets worse. But first of all I think you need to find a new
doctor if your doctor said you won't be able to have kids. Women with PCOS have
kids all the time. And if your not ovulating the doctor can prescribe you
medication that will help you.

You NEED to go on birth control pills. Not having your period for more then 3
months puts you more at risk for cancer. When the lining in your uterus grows
and grows and grows every month and is not being shed (we call this a period)
abnormal cells can grow.

You might have go through different birth control brands to find the one that
works for you but I strongly suggest you get on dim pills.

(Birth Control helps regulate your period if you didn't know)
Whoever has said you won't have kids is full of it. It may be more difficult,
but PCOS does not always make your infertile. With correct treatment, you can
get pregnant.

But anyway, you should look into birth control pills or metformin. Both have
been successful in treating PCOS symptoms. The pill gives you pretty
instantaneous results for your period. The met is used for weight gain and
related problems but it often helps women get their periods
going.
