Is it wrong to pray for death?

I've been
praying for God to kill me ever since my first suicide attempt. I'm on my third,
have been to countless shrinks and on various meds. I just don't care to live
and don't want to, but I'm such a fricken coward I fail every time I try to kill
myself. the world's overpopulated anyway, what's one less gonna matter. people
move on. family may cry, but tears dry.
It's good that you are praying to God, but, pray for His will to be done. Not
your death. I know things are rough right now, but, things will get better,
you'll see. Besides, don't you want to live your life? Get married? Have kids?

I have prayed for death and roamed the streets looking for it. As time passed I
began to love myself and my life and I was ashamed of ever wanting to die. I
have helped several people who would have had messed up lives were it not for th
efact that I was there for them when nobody else was. they would have killed
themselves if I wasn't there for them. I have helped people to overcome
hardships that they couldn't find a way out of, and now that I'm a rich man I
can help whomever I choose to. My life is sweet and enjoyable. My advice to you
is not to be lazy about life. By this I mean that most people who give up on
life haven't really lived. It's not their fault, but they need to learn that
there are things to enjoy out there and things to live for, especially the joy
that comes from relationships and helping people. Why not pray to God to make
your life enjoyable and show you that you are worthwhile. It only takes one
person to change history. I do it every day. Please don't take yourself out of
the running, because it can be a very glorious thing to finish the race. Have
yuo tried group therapy for suicide. You can start by helping others who want to
do the same to overcome.
I have prayed for death before, you are not alone. But you have to realize that
no matter if the world is overpopulated or not you are somebody, people will be
devastated if you kill yourself. I knew a girl who walked into her house and
found her brother hanging, she is in constant therapy now because of this. You
will probably hurt others in ways you couldn't even guess if you kill yourself.
Have you tried talking to family or friends about your suicide thoughts? You
could also call a suicide hotline 1-800-784-2433. And maybe see about getting to
a doctor to talk about your feelings of suicide. Good luck:)
dude why would you pray for death... i mean just live your life if theres ****
in your life you dont wana deal with you dont have to really... even if your
underage im 16 myself and i dont get told what to do what to do what i do is out
of respect i aint gonna lie i have thought about commiting suside but its a
selfish dumb thing to do tommrows always better man live one day at a time and
if that dont work each hour if not that one min dude life is beauitful find what
you like and do it
I used to wish I was dead (don't believe in God so no praying). I, too, failed
at my three attempts. A lot of therapy and meds, but what turned me around was
the love from a dog. I started to wish I could get better; that people could
understand me; that today would be easier than yesterday. I know it's hard, so
very hard for you right now, but try to pray to "just be" and not for and end.

yes beacuse everyone will die sometime. God choses when. You do actually matter
you know? One less person could've changed the future for everyone else. It
affects the economy, and it'll hurt all the people who care so badly that you
don't even know because you're so selfish. Have you tried hitchhiking?
Traveling? Maybe you'll find something out there that'll respark the life in
you. Maybe you'll die along the way. Try it.
Have you gotten help? One less person? One person can change another person and
that person then changes the next....we all need each other. Life's a circle.
Please get help. Families never move one....the survive.....you never get over
someone committing suicide....they are just left with guilt for the rest of
their life wondering what they could have done to help......do you want that for
your loved ones?
I hope not, I know I have prayed for death. But like all the answers I have
received to my prayers, this one was NO too.

I do understand how you feel and what you are going through. I hope things work

Do you have any idea why you are depressed? I'm not trying to sway you one way
or the other but I am curious.
See a doctor. Its wrong to pray for death. Believe in God, and your years on
earth will be great. You are going to die eventually, and then you will spend
time with God.

i think its awful that you are praying for God to take your life when He gave it
to you as a gift. i guess all i can say is good luck...
You Don't want to die, you are reaching out for help. Please try to seek help
from a doctor.
You just need to talk yourself out of it.
